1. Information we collect or use

Information stored in your browser

Loupe.Love uses browser storage, such as local storage, to make the taste-discovery experience work in your current browser.

This may include:

• choices you make in ring comparisons;
• saved rings and hidden rings;
• filters, rule-outs, include/exclude preferences, and other taste settings;
• progress through the discovery flow;
• ring-brief, recommendation, or preference signals used by the experience; and
• a generated browser/client identifier used for product analytics.

This browser-stored information generally stays in that browser unless you reset the profile, clear site data, use a different browser or device, use private-browsing settings that remove site data, or your browser removes it.

Product analytics and usage information

Loupe.Love sends product analytics events to Loupe.Love-controlled systems. These events help us understand and improve the service. They may include:

• landing-page activity, referrers, calls to action, navigation events, video interactions, scroll depth, section views, and time-on-page signals;
• session start and session end events;
• pair impressions, comparison choices, decisions, and current pair summaries;
• saves, hides, filters, rule-outs, check-ins, resets, detail views, and ring brief opens;
• ring IDs, ring names, scores, exposure counts, wins, losses, and strongest taste signals;
• outbound-link intent and outbound-click-related information;
• generated browser/client identifiers and generated session identifiers;
• timestamps, page path, app version, server receipt information, and storage keys; and
• summary counts such as decisions, saved rings, hidden rings, filters, displayed pair, and session duration.

These analytics events are not intended to include payment information, shipping information, public profile content, public messages, public uploads, or free-form prompts because the public Loupe.Love experience does not currently provide those features.

Technical information

Like most websites, Loupe.Love and its service providers may process technical information needed to operate, secure, and deliver the site. This may include IP address, browser or device information, user-agent, request path, timestamps, headers, and similar technical data.

Contact information

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, and any other information you include. We use that information to respond, manage the request, keep appropriate records, and address legal, security, or business issues.

Catalog and maintenance information

Loupe.Love stores and serves ring catalog data and images. We may use service providers, including hosting, storage, analytics, search/link-routing, font/icon, affiliate, and AI or catalog-maintenance providers, to operate and improve the site.

2. How we use information

We may use information to:

• operate, maintain, secure, and improve Loupe.Love;
• provide the taste-discovery experience;
• remember browser-stored progress and preferences;
• generate ring briefs, preference signals, recommendations, filters, and related product features;
• understand how visitors use Loupe.Love;
• understand which rings, styles, features, links, and attributes receive attention;
• route outbound links and understand outbound-link performance;
• debug errors, monitor performance, detect misuse, and protect the service;
• maintain and improve the ring catalog and related tools;
• develop aggregate, summary, or non-identifying trend insights;
• respond to emails, requests, rights inquiries, legal issues, or security issues;
• comply with applicable law and enforce our terms; and
• protect our rights and the rights of others.

3. How we share information

Service providers

We may share information with service providers that help us host, store, secure, analyze, maintain, or operate Loupe.Love. These may include hosting and storage providers, analytics and logging providers, font or icon providers, search or link-routing services, affiliate or referral services, AI/catalog-maintenance services, email providers, and other vendors that support our operations.

Retailers, affiliate networks, and outbound destinations

When you click certain Loupe.Love links, we may redirect you to a retailer, source page, search result, affiliate destination, inspiration-related destination, or other third-party site. Loupe.Love may log outbound-link activity, such as ring ID, destination type, retailer, link surface, and similar click information.

The destination site may receive information from your browser, such as your IP address, browser information, referring page, and any information you provide to that destination. We do not control third-party retailers, affiliate networks, search engines, or other destination sites, and their privacy policies apply to their services.

Some links, retailers, products, placements, badges, recommendations, or other parts of Loupe.Love may be affiliate links, sponsored placements, paid placements, or otherwise compensated. If affiliate or compensated links are used, relevant retailers, affiliate networks, or partners may process click, referral, purchase, or attribution information under their own policies.

Aggregate or summary insights

We may use or share aggregate, summary, or non-identifying insights about ring interest and product trends with jewelers, retailers, partners, or other commercial audiences. For example, these insights may describe which styles, stones, settings, shapes, metals, retailers, attributes, interactions, or product categories receive more attention, impressions, saves, clicks, or positive taste signals.

These insights are not intended to identify a specific visitor or include names, email addresses, payment information, raw generated browser/client IDs, raw session IDs, complete individual taste profiles, or exact single-user journeys. We may use safeguards such as aggregation, filtering, suppression of very small cohorts, or manual review, but we do not promise that every insight is mathematically anonymous or that re-identification is impossible if information is combined with other data.

Legal, safety, and business purposes

We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests; enforce our terms or policies; protect Loupe.Love, visitors, users, third parties, or the public; investigate security or technical issues; prevent fraud or misuse; or support a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.

4. Retention

We may retain information for as long as we determine it is useful or appropriate for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including operating and improving Loupe.Love, debugging, security, legal compliance, business records, dispute handling, backup, analytics, and aggregate or summary trend analysis.

Browser-stored taste-profile information and the generated browser/client identifier generally remain in your browser until you reset the profile, clear local storage or site data, use a different browser or device, or your browser removes them.

We may delete, aggregate, de-identify, or retain information depending on business, technical, legal, and security needs. We do not commit to one fixed retention period for all categories of information.

5. Your choices

You can control some Loupe.Love information directly in your browser:

• use Loupe.Love reset controls to reset the taste profile for your current browser;
• clear local storage or site data through your browser settings;
• use browser controls to block or limit storage, recognizing that some Loupe.Love features may not work as intended without local storage;
• use browser, device, network, or extension controls to limit certain requests to third-party resources or destinations;
• choose whether to click outbound links; and
• choose whether to contact us.

Resetting the local taste profile does not automatically delete analytics events that were already sent to Loupe.Love.

Loupe.Love does not currently provide public accounts or a separate public analytics opt-out control. Because Loupe.Love does not provide public accounts, we may not be able to associate analytics events with a particular person or verify that a request relates to a particular visitor unless you provide enough information for us to reasonably locate and verify the relevant records.

At this time, Loupe.Love does not automatically respond to browser "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals unless required by applicable law.

6. Privacy rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, portability of, restriction of, or objection to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have rights to opt out of certain disclosures or uses.

To make a privacy request, email cam@loupe.love. Please describe your request and provide information reasonably needed to verify and process it. We will respond as required by applicable law. Because Loupe.Love does not currently provide public accounts and uses generated browser/client and session identifiers, our ability to identify, retrieve, delete, or connect information to you may be limited.

7. Children

Loupe.Love is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Loupe.Love, contact us at cam@loupe.love.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect information we process. No website, storage system, transmission method, or security measure is completely secure.

9. International users

Loupe.Love is operated from the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other locations. If you use Loupe.Love from outside the United States, information may be processed in locations that may have privacy laws different from those where you live.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on Loupe.Love with an updated "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice where required by law.
